Handlebar Risers not seating

So I ordered a set of risers from Ali Express. I had ordered several things from one of the shops on there previously and have been very happy with the quality so far. I put on these risers and they dont quite seat all the way. The bars are very tight and wont move. I even accidentally set the bike over on the crash bars and even lifting the bike back up they didnt budge. So what is the opinion on weather or not this is safe? Riding is soo much more comfortable with this in here, I dont want to go back to the stock position. And Yes I know the riser is chrome and doesnt match, but I didnt see any risers in the satin finish.

I don’t like the look of it, but unless someone knows what to look for I doubt anyone would notice. I would not think it is a safety concern after the tests you put it through. Did you have to relocate the brake or clutch cables?

Ditto on the looks. Depending upon how handy you are I would personally take a file to that bracket and carefully dress it so that it fits better. If it ever worked loose while riding you could be in real trouble. Just looking at the profile I expect it’s only a fraction of a mm out.

Yeah I may just take a file to the riser and see if I can get it to fit a little better . Probably only need to take a little off the corner.

And @R2K Yes this came with the bracket to relocate the brake and clutch lines. no way this would have gone on without that.

Going by another post on here, the person said they only go on one way so you have to try side to side and rotate 180 degrees. His looked to be the Chinese knock offs. Let us know if that is the case.

I saw that post this morning and I am going to try that later today. I will report back if that fixes it.
It was me that posted earlier - mine weren't the same spacers as you have and were ordered from Wunderlich .... may be the same thing though to fix it

So rotating them or moving side to side made no difference on these. I even tried setting them against a smooth part of the bars and they wont seat. So probably just not manufactured correctly to fit. I did send the seller a message but as I bought these last August and didnt try to mount them until recently, not sure I will have much luck there. They really seem to be held into place really well despite the gap. Went on a ride today and was reminded how much I love having the bars back. It even seems to handle better for me for some reason. I will probably just check to make sure they stay tight before every ride for a while.

Let me see if I can wrap my mind around this. So you buy a bike manufactured in Berlin, Germany, a work of art, a bike like no other, and you settle on some bar risers made in China that you purchased from Ali Express?
I don't know what quality you're talking about. Is there any quality in anything that doesn't fit well a product it was allegedly designed for?
The Chinese are unpunished thieves, plain and simple. Look somewhere other than China or any other third world country if you truly appreciate quality.
And no, I cannot wrap my mind around your problem.

I’m over here chuckling. I’ve got a buddy who will spend $5 bucks 10 times on some no name part that won’t fit before he'll even consider paying $40 for the piece made for the thing first. Doesn’t help that I’m usually the one volunteering to do the job and having to say, “yeah, this piece of shit doesn’t fit” on several occasions.

Bought a similar variation of these and the strength is in the bolts not the actual riser block. As long as the bolts remain fixed and tight you should be fine. DK Design makes these as well but they’re more pricey: https://www.dkdesign-global.com/product-page/dkdesign-bmw-r18-handlebar-risers. Mine seat better and fell very sturdy; ebay special at $50. Figured I’ll try these first and if they fail and I survive the crash I’ll get DK Design’s version next. 😉
