good tip; will try that... but also have a working diagnostic connector, with access to all computer data and if need be I reset any errors, including service alarms, myself... BMW does not like me very much.
on my end, I cleared the error... recharched the battery completly and then went into the diagnostic system, via the ODB2 and cleared the errors... Probably recharching the battery would have been sufficient
Hi,
after a battery down situation I now notice the speedometer being some 50 km/h off.
When bike stopped, it sticks at 50 km/hr.
I also have zeen a speed of 200+ in 3e gear, on the highway.
Nice, but not very reliable....
How do I reset or calibrate the speedometer?
I do have a working...
some first results in my "cool the cooler" project.
Completed the wiring and switch installation.
Found out (the hard way) that the cooler is mounted in silent blocks... so you have to have a neutral/gnd wire pulled or a jumper between cooler housing and engine
Did a test run and have some...
was just a gut feeling to put them in front... I think they are more efficient in blowing vs pulling.... there is plentyspace available, but it is more work to construct a bracket..and the cooler has to be dismantled.
Hi, I did have an overheating issue last summer, during a traffic jam on the London Hiways.
Did already write something about this, but the conditions where as follows:
35 deg C
30 miles traffic jam with stop and slow traffic.
First overtemp warning after 30 or so minutes
Second, more urgent...
Hi there, for you guys having a few questions on diagnostic connectors and such, here some pictures from my setup, while waiting to wait the lady to end her winter hybernation weekly start and warmup
picture 1: waiting for milady to warm up
picture 2: location of the ODB->BT diag...
I do believe their default position is open... and, if engineered properly (and there are some very good designers at BMW (except for the seat guy)) the exhaust flow forces them already in open
I have a few... the third one being the servo unit.... btw... just keeping the thread alive, but I just ordered a set (two) of ESE-BM1 servo budy's in Germany... 97 euro's incl shipment... might as well go for the full package...
question on flapper valves:
I am planning to remove the cables between valves and servo (2 per valve)... would it be sufficient to only unhook the cables at the valvce itself? Or should I also un-hook at the servobox and remove the cables all together?
Reason for me wanting to eliminate valve...
Look what I got for my Xmas tree... handpainted by Frank Stienen (from https://incastienen.wixsite.com/incastienen) who also did the striping on my frontfender
Can't wait to putup that Xmas tree
