    Windshield / Windscreen options?

There is actually an 18" tall shield (OEM shield from the Classic is 16") that goes with OEM mounting system here: https://www.clearviewshields.com/motorcycle-windshields/bmw/bmw-r18-classic-replacement-windshield/ I am just waiting for the right moment to get it ;-)

What did you do to your R18 today?

Hi, so I see that's a Classic. Do you need to buy anything else from the backrest in order to have it installed on the Classic which comes with OEM bags, like set of screws or something?

    Is this sound normal?

I read somewhere that sound is normal. They even said is louder when the tank is with little fuel. It is hard to hear it on normal city noise conditions, I heard it when I was in a deep forest cabin that time, I am pretty sure the sound still there though. I believe all the R18s have that sound...

    Onboard Power Socket not working

This is an update, just in case you follow the thread. The Optimate 105 WAS the faulty device. Bike is OK! Also, just to add to the original story, I bought an new DIN Hella to SAE cable and SAE to USB adapter. The Hella to SAE cable came with the polarity reversed ( I almost died when it did...

    Onboard Power Socket not working

Very confused here, I went riding my R18 Classic on a rainy weather last week and my cell phone alerted me the USB port was sensing water, of course because I was using it as GPS I dismissed the alert. Happy riding for more than an hour and I then noticed the phone is not charging. -Back at home...

    Is this sound normal?

Yes, I do not think comes from the fuel pump. May be ignition electronics? it seems to be normal sound though. I was wondering if anyone can also upload a recording of it. It is not easily noticeable when in a loud environment.

    Is this sound normal?

I drove out of the noisy city yesterday and just noticed a noise (like an electronic buzz) coming somewhere from below the gas tank after pressing the Power/Start button. Is this sound normal? https://www.dropbox.com/s/y8oxahrobo2mcik/Video%20Sep%2020%2C%207%2030%2010%20PM.mov?dl=0

Gentlemen... and ladies of course! I recall having read that tires come from factory filled with Nitrogen gas. Can anyone please confirm this?

    Clutch

🙋‍♂️ Excuse my mechanical ignorance but I am wondering if there is a problem keeping the clutch engaged in a gear when for example waiting the green light at an intersection. I know this is not a problem with the wet clutch from a standard motorcycle, you can stay holding the clutch lever...

    Wimpy Horn Replacement

Clarton Horn | 61338381271 works fantastic! I was keeping it from having installed because the bolt securing the bracket to the bike's frame was so hard to lose... My bad! One just needs to work the nut securing the bracket to the horn itself (red rectangle) using a wrench #13, connect the...

What did you do to your R18 today?

I did the same, not that brand though but these guys (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00230P2E4) Numb hands may not completely be avoided but you can tell much more comfort, need to try them in a long trip. Note: Using the hair spray to fit them was a must to me.
