Don't know if this helps you but... I use those travel cubes in mine. I think mine are by Outdoor Research but there are several brands out there.
Been using them for years (decades? dammit): in suitcases, in backpacks, in Jesse's on my GS, etc. Allows myle to organize and compartmentalize all...
Is doing your own maintenance not an option? Not being critical at all because...
Full disclosure: I admittedly haven't done my R18 myself... yet, but the time is coming, both due to cost and the dealer being over 100 miles from me.
I've done almost all the maintenance on my R1150 GS over the...
I carry the plastic key in my wallet. I've found it will not link to the bike even when I set the plastic key onto the seat. But then again I typically have my wallet in my jacket or shirt pocket when riding... the ol' sciatic, ya know. I also carry a spare fob battery on the bike.... just in case.
Probably not very helpful but.... none, at least at this point in my life. The TC has been, and continues to be, a great bike for me, either solo or 2-up.
Excellent thread. I also do the garage bonding, with both the TC and the GS.
The TC is motive art and very comfortable for us, either solo or two-up. The GS is the ugly-beautiful of form-following-function and very comfortable for me 😊, but not for her.
I've put well over 90,000 wonderful...
Beautiful bike, my favorite color. I don't worry much about depreciation as I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time. Reliability matters more to me than re-sale value. Enjoy your ride!
Hi Scott,
I've only had the bar re-positioned the one time, by the dealer. I prefer to have my forearms roughly parallel with the ground when astride the bike.
As delivered, the bars were lower than was comfortable to me. This is probably because I'm used to my GS bars, which are set up higher...
Scott, my apologies as I read this post a couple days ago but I didn't realize it was meanr for me.
The bars and fairing still have plenty of clearance after my bsrscwete rotated up.
Excellent! At the very least, it gives you an alternative that allows you to adjusy your farkling priorities.👍
I've ridden like this for years on my GS, though on the TC it is a bit more of a hamstring and achilles stretch. 🙃
