Thanks for sharing the disassembled pics. I have a project to add some escort strobes and was thinking if mostly hollow, I could purpose these for mounting some LEDs. Looks like another over engineered German design, especially for just a wind and leg deflector.

Welcome. I use to to ride a 1200RT and put 110k on it. Then I saw the R18TC FE and just fell in love with it. Four years later, she has safely delivered me across the US four times and 21 US states. The center of gravity although lower, rides like the RTs.

After 6,300 miles over 16 days, and 17 states. Run for the Wall 2025 is complete. I’ve been in the advance staging crew for 4 years so this may explain why I look like a human cone in some pictures. The only pics I have of the R18 is from day 2 & 3. I should have taken a pic of just how dirty...
