Indeed, same same in my area..... I want to ride not spend my life at the service counter.... how good can the engineering bee if this bike is so needy ???
Mine only failed totally when it was late at night and all dealers closed, and I was in the basement of a store downtown.,... argj@Q#R*@#R.. it took two tow truck divers over an hour to get my bike out of that basement.... shit ! ! !
I saw on YouTube that folks ride around in groups on scooters and will take you off your bike and ride it away leaving you sitting in the street, the Rusians mean business there ! ! ! jp
This was resolved. They wrote me a check. It seams when you pay by a card of some sort, the account remains active only so far then ends, and you must either accept a check or gift card as teh shop cannot reverse the transactions.....
I made a service appointment at my dealer this past week. They have a new TC just taken in trade for an Indian Chieftain... I ride an R18 Classic and have been drooling over the Bagger and TC but fear they are way to top heavy to enjoy, this trade sort of seals that in money. Any comments ????
If I have to pay anywhere near that price, I will be over the moon angry and getting rid of the bike at the first opportunity, I love the bikes but BMW is a company really sucks and deserves to go broke....
I finally got out of town on my R18 classic. I was not surprised at my fuel economy, though it was tempered with high speed on the freeways.. On a round trip of 200 miles my average consumption was just under 39 MPG... not too bad for a heavy bike. Later I booked a date for the first service...
