Thank you! I think once we’re back in New Hampshire, I’ll grab a base R18 and it’ll be a fun weekend bike. It’s a fun motor, I love everything about the design. I just didn’t need a big touring bike. Combined with the crazy insurance and registration costs in NC, this is for the best. I’m...
Looks like $12K was the right price. It sold today with the only delay being that when I paid the bike off in AUGUST, it took BMW Financial 3 months to write me a letter acknowledging payoff. I thought the title was coming...waited another month and called them "oh we sent you a letter it was...
You can report your first post and request it for sure. I’m sorry we upset you. I honestly thought it’d be a fun new oil thread and not cause you stress. I’m sorry.
Uh-Oh, oil thread.
I use BMW oil for 600 mile service and again fro 6,000 mile and keep receipts. After that, I use the oil that meets spec which and is affordable. I get 50% off Motul oil through a sponsorship so I use their oil that meets spec & weight for all of my bikes. No issues.
Exactly how I feel. I’ll have gotten $24K for a bike I paid $21,500 for and the next owner will get a bike that will be almost at the bottom of depreciation in 2-3 years with up to date service and warranty. I feel good about the pricing. I should have it sold in about a week.
Hi all, I have been paid out by insurance and dropped the price on CycleTrader. I’ve now had about 10 bites (from 2 before the price drop) and 3 people are very interested in coming to check it out. No One has offered less than $12,000 yet which is a good sign that I priced it to move. Also no...
I’ve been renting my bikes out on TwistedRoad for 5 years. Probably nets around $250 a month so not much money but not nothing. This is the first incident I’ve had and the company took care of it. No questions asked just get a quote and they cut me a check.
Just answering your first question. Absolutely not. I’ve always serviced cars and bikes before sale and the price is never higher than if they were not sorted.
I have no clue what you’re talking about. Why would the person buying the bike have to service a bike that was recently serviced? Why did I add $105 in taxes when you buy it? Are you buying the bike? I’m going to need a spreadsheet. In most states, the sale price doesn’t dictate the use tax...
About 6200 miles and I just spent around $1000 on the 6000 mile service and a Pre-purchase inspection for anyone who wants to buy it.
It's listed on Cycle Trader for $12K.
This isn't my first Insurance claim with a BMW Motorcycle. I've always covered my butt and most of the time, BMWs are totaled unless they're pretty new. A GS Comp on my 2018 would come around $12-14K. Body parts, a wheel and some luggage will easily hit that. Anytime you low-side any BMW over 5...
