Update: I removed the trunk. It was very straight forward as mentioned before. Underneath the trunk there is a plastic cover being held in with two plastic push pins. There are two zip ties that hold the witing that need to be cut and then two electrical plugs that need to be disconnected...

Update: Got a chance to go out for a quick 90 mile ride with the stock bagger seat. I am extremely satisfied with the result. The reduced width takes the pressure off my inner thighs as I was hoping for. The contour of the seat keeps me from sliding forward as I did with the tall comfort seat. I...
