If you used PayPal, they will act as mediator for you....and if not successful, PayPal will take action against the bad guy and own up for you. I don't know if "friends and family" would terminate the PayPal mediator agreement? I guess read the rules?

Not to fear....Had this happen on my '23 Honda Accord last month.....showed left rear tire low....checked air pressure and it was perfect. Shut down the engine, restarted and never repeated. Still perfect pressure a month later. Can happen to any vehicle.
Neighbor had a Road King years ago....Rats ate up his wiring. Yes garaged but garage door was up most of the day due to Texas summer heat. Recently ate up the wiring in his late model Toyota which was kept in the drive way. $5000+ in repairs. Mean little buggers.
