Same project for me.
I'm thinking about bringing my R1200C Montauk in USA for one year or two. A friend can keep it in his garage in Anapolis.
I've figured out how to ship it but can't find how to insure it with a french licence.
The sign "Moto vendue" is in French for sure. But I'd rather bet it's in Quebec.
In France the sign would rather only say "Vendue"

Using bags is way more practical (and hygienic) when on a road trip and moving to an accomodation.
My bags are more spacious than the Bagger/ TC ones. I bought the iside bags on Motea web site.
Could you give us more explanations, like how you could adjust the lengh of the led stripes, connections etc..
Are they double taped?

I never had this issue with my R18.
But since I had it from time to time on my Montauk I started to park it on a stand, so verticaly.
And another stand came with the R18
