IMPORT R18 Transcontinental from Australia to America under a CARNET for 12 months + Insurance

The INSURANCE in America is insanely expensive for very little coverage compared to insurance I have in Australia and also in the UK (including all Schengen states). Give Progressive a call in the States. But maybe not motorcycles

IMPORT R18 Transcontinental from Australia to America under a CARNET for 12 months + Insurance

I recently had a phone call with an hilariously funny lady agent at Progressive. A USD$35,000 BMW Z4 2021 was going to be north of USD$7,000 a year to insure with an Aussie licence! Madness

Everywhere has ROAD KILL problems. My friends in Canada and their MOOSE for example! I have written off 2 cars hitting kangaroos.... not fun, especially when ALL the airbags go off!

    New Owner from Singapore

I've lived and worked in Singapore. Owning a bike or a car there is criminally expensive but they do it for a reason....all those people on a tiny island owning a car it would be 24/7 gridlock... Do you take your bikes for a blast to Malacca or KL and beyond?

Gday from Australia. I've had an R18 Forst Edition since late 2021 and am about to take delivery of a Transcontinental for longer rides (safer to hit wallabies, the odd kangaroo or even an emu or camel (yes we have a lot of BIG camels wandering around Australia). The inlet covers and valve...
